In Korea, the Kospi Index dumped 123.49 points, or 1.8%, to 6,788.88.
In Singapore, the Straits Times index forged ahead 15.81 points, or 0.3%, to 5,699.93.
In Taiwan, the Taiex index jumped 356.23 points, or 0.8%, to 47,331.45
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 slid 111.87 points, or 0.8%, to 13,768.18
In Australia, the ASX 200 regrouped 54.09 points, or 0.6%. to 9,092.29.
