In Korea, the Kospi index hiked 459.28 points, or 5.4%, to 8,930.30.
In Singapore, the Straits Times 50 index notched 2.97 points, or 0.1%, higher to 5,218.96
The Taiex index in Taiwan recovered 211.66 points, or 0.5%, to 46,255.26.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 revived 92.39 points, or 0.7%, to 13,499.05.
In Australia, the ASX dropped 59.75 points, or 0.7%, to 8,748.65.
