International Transactions in Securities (July) Foreign investors reduced their holdings of Canadian securities by $13.5 billion in June as they divested in both debt and equity securities. Meanwhile, Canadian investment in foreign securities reached $10.6 billion, led by acquisitions of U.S. equities.
Consumer Price Index (Aug.) CPI rose 0.1% on a year-over-year basis in July, down from a 0.7% increase in June. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the CPI fell 0.1% in July, following a 1.0% increase in June.
