PodcastOne, Inc. (NASDAQ:PODC), a leading podcast platform and a subsidiary of LiveOne, Inc. (NASDAQ:LVO), today announced a comprehensive, multi-year distribution, content and marketing partnership with National Military Podcast Day (NMPD), the annual celebration of the service members and veterans who have taken to the microphone to tell their own stories. The partnership launches with today's live-stream marathon, led by NMPD founder Colonel Riccoh Player, United States Marine Corps (Retired).
This year's event is a marathon in every sense: 26.2 miles of live and "Best of Military/Veteran" podcasting over 16 consecutive hours. Thirty-two of the community's top podcasters will hand off to one another every 30 minutes, so that someone is always on the air, with back-to-back shows, special guests, giveaways, and firsthand stories from across the military and veteran community.
Under the agreement, PodcastOne will stream the full 16-hour marathon live, then offer the content on demand, sustaining the movement all year long. The network will also promote National Military Podcast Day across its most popular and relevant shows, including #StillServing: The VFW podcast, The MilSpouse Show!, The Hard to Kill Podcast and History On The Road.
PODC shares lost 0.5 cents to $2.36, while LVO shares inched ahead four cents, or 1.5%, to $2.67.
