Microchip giant Nvidia (NVDA) has reportedly warned some of its largest customers that it plans to raise prices by at least 15%.
Nvidia is said to have told its leading customers that price increases will take effect on systems it ships in early 2027.
Specifically, the chipmaker plans to increase the cost of servers containing its artificial intelligence (A.I.) microchips and processors, including Vera Rubin and Grace Blackwell.
Most of the price increase will be by more than 15%, according to multiple media reports. The price hikes will reportedly depend on the generation of microchips and memory configurations.
Like other technology companies such as Apple (AAPL) and Microsoft (MSFT), Nvidia has been facing soaring costs associated with memory chips, which are essential for its A.I. systems.
Nvidia has not made a public announcement about the price increases and they will reportedly not apply to all of the company’s customers.
NVDA stock has gained 19% over the last 12 months to trade at $214.72 U.S. per share. The company is scheduled to report its second-quarter financial results on Aug. 26.
