Apple Named New Sponsor Of Super Bowl Half-Time Show

The National Football League (NFL) has announced that consumer electronic giant Apple
(AAPL) is the new sponsor the Super Bowl Halftime Show beginning in February 2023.

The Super Bowl is the most watched sporting event in the world, attracting more than 100
million viewers and featuring musicians such as Bruno Mars, Prince and U2.

This past February, more than 120 million viewers watched the Super Bowl Halftime Show that
showcased Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar.

The NFL said Apple plans to use the Super Bowl to showcase its music division. The company
is one of several bidding to become the next home of the NFL Sunday Ticket, a package that
lets people watch every Sunday football game.

While financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, previous Super Bowl half-time sponsor
PepsiCo (PEP) paid $2 billion U.S. to sponsor the event from 2012 to 2022.

A 30-second advertisement at the upcoming Super Bowl is selling for $7 million U.S.

Super Bowl LVII is scheduled to be played on February 12, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona.
Apple’s stock is down 16% this year and trading at $152.74 U.S. a share.
