At the market open in Toronto, the TSX Composite Index rose 0.11%. The TSX Venture also increased. The TSX Venture climbed 0.14%, while the TSX Venture tries to decide which side to go.

- Tilray (TSX:TLRY): Increased 2.32% or 0.06 points to 2.65
- Canada Goose (TSX:GOOS): Rose 2.15% or 0.36 points to 17.11
- Intl Petroleum (TSX:IPCO): Climbed 1.69% or 0.34 points to 20.41
Top Losers:
- Capstone Mining (TSX:CS): Fell 4.90% or 0.47 points to 9.13
- HudBay Minerals (TSX:HBM): Declined 4.27% or 0.51 points to 11.43
- Ero Copper (TSX:ERO): Dropped 4.01% or 1.14 points to 27.20
In Commodities Trading:
- Crude Oil for September delivery dropped 0.50 points to 80.94 a barrel.
- September Brent Oil Contract is down by 0.63% or 0.54 points drop to 84.54 a barrel.
- Gold Futures for August delivery rose 8.00 points to 2,467.90 a troy ounce.
Currency Markets:
- USD/CAD cruises between 1.3671-1.3691 daily range.
- EUR/CAD is stable at 1.49.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 103.717
Main Economic Events:
Today the Canadian events calendar is empty, but the ECB interest rate announcement and the US employment numbers are watched.
