At the market open in Toronto, the TSX Composite Index climbed slightly 0.04%. The TSX Venture and the TSX Smallcap were also up. The TSX Venture rose 0.36%, while the Smallcap was up by 0.40%.

- IAMGold (TSX:IMG): Rose 4.32% or 0.33 points to 7.97.
- Ivanhoe Mines (TSX:IVN): Climbed 4.20% or 0.79 points to 19.50.
Top Losers:
- Bank of Nova Scotia (TSX:BNS): Dropped 3.75% or 2.99 points to 76.80.
- Denison Mines (TSX:DML): Declined 2.48% or 0.08 points to 3.14.
- Energy Fuels Inc (TSX:EFR): Fell 2.33% or 0.230 points to 9.650.
In Commodities Trading:
- February Brent Oil Contract climbed by 1.32% or 0.95 points to 72.78 a barrel.
- Crude Oil for January delivery rose 0.85 points to 68.95 a barrel.
- Gold Futures for February delivery increased 13.19 points to 2,671.69 a troy ounce.
Currency Markets:
- USD/CAD is stable at 1.4041.
- EUR/CAD is trading at 1.4768.
