TSX Composite starts higher today; shares mixed at market open

Investing.com - Canadian equities started with gains on Thursday. The top risers were Capped Consumer Discretionary, Capped Financial and Capped Materials indices.

At the market open in Toronto, the TSX Composite Index climbed 0.36%. The TSX Venture and the TSX Smallcap also increased. The TSX Venture rose 0.90%, while the Smallcap was up by 0.55%.

Top Gainers:

HudBay Minerals (TSX:HBM): Rose 5.25% or 0.62 points to 12.42.

Ivanhoe Mines (TSX:IVN): Increased 5.26% or 1.01 points to 20.22.

Capstone Mining (TSX:CS): Climbed 4.87% or 0.50 points to 10.76.
