Stocks across the Pacific were decidedly mixed on Monday, amid word the U.S. had struck targets in Iran.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 docked 93.63 points, or 0.1%, to 66,311.93.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng retreated 17.8 points, or 0.1%, to 25,566.99.
On Sunday, U.S. Central Command confirmed to MS NOW that the U.S. struck two rocket launchers on Iran’s Larak Island.
Sunday’s attack was the first publicly acknowledged U.S. strike on Iranian positions since late July, with Iranian state media reporting that Tehran had attacked U.S. bases in Jordan in retaliation.

In Shanghai, the CSI index recovered 15.91 points, or 0.4%, to 4,625.09.
In Korea, the Kospi Index took on 31.14 points, or 0.5%, to 6,820.02.
In Singapore, the Straits Times index grabbed 55.43 points, or 1%, to 5,755.36.
In Taiwan, the Taiex index tanked 202.98 points, or 0.4%, to 46,128.47
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 restocked 149.12 points, or 1.1%, to 13,917.30
In Australia, the ASX 200 ditched 16.33 points, or 0.2%. to 9,075.96.
