In Korea, the Kospi index regained 81.83 points, or 1%, to 8,476.48.
In Singapore, the Straits Times 50 index lost 38.1 points, or 0.7%, to 5,170.65
The Taiex index in Taiwan popped 1,126.01 points, or 2.5%, to 46,125.91.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 gained 76.1 points, or 0.6%, to 13,621.66.
In Australia, the ASX subtracted 44.69 points, or 0.5%, to 8,778.68.
