Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has tested positive for COVID-19 after attending a Summit of the
Americas meeting in Los Angeles, California.
Trudeau’s positive test comes after he met face-to-face with several world leaders, including a
one-on-one talk with U.S. President Joe Biden.
This is the second time that Trudeau has tested positive for COVID-19 this year, having first
contracted the respiratory illness at the end of January. He is fully vaccinated and got his third
dose of a COVID-19 inoculation on January 4 of this year, the Prime Minister’s Office said.
In addition to meeting with Biden, Trudeau signed a climate accord with California Governor
Gavin Newsom while in Los Angeles last week.
