BlackRock Lists Ethereum ETF In Brazil

BlackRock (BLK), the world’s biggest asset manager, has listed its iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) exchange-traded fund (ETF) on a Brazilian exchange.

In Brazil, the ETF will trade under the ticker symbol “ETHA39” as a Brazilian depositary receipt that reflects shares of foreign companies traded within the South American country.

This is the second major cryptocurrency ETF offered by BlackRock in Brazil. In March, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) began trading on the Brazilian stock exchange.

Brazil is a hotbed for crypto trading, with the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) recently approving two Solana-based (SOL) ETFs to begin trading in the country.

BlackRock, which has $10 trillion U.S. of assets under management worldwide, has launched some of the most successful Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs this year.

The iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF has attracted more than $10 billion U.S. of investor capital since its launch in January.

In August, BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust ETF surpassed $1 billion U.S. in net inflows within the U.S., becoming the first of a dozen issuers to cross that threshold.

BlackRock’s stock has risen 29% in the last 12 months to trade at $888.66 U.S. per share.
