Canada To Remove Final COVID-19 Border Restrictions

The federal government in Ottawa has announced that all COVID-19 border restrictions will end as of October 1, including mandatory vaccinations, testing and quarantine of international travellers.

The cabinet order maintaining COVID-19 border measures will not be renewed when it expires on September 30.

The change effectively means foreign national no longer need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter Canada.

Random tests and self-isolating will no longer be required either.

The ArriveCan app will no longer be mandatory, but travellers can use it to submit customs forms before they arrive.
