In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng regained 146.49 points, or 0.6%, to 24,750.78.

In Shanghai, the CSI index recovered 47.24 points, or 1.1%, to 4,507.39.
In Korea, the Kospi Index charged ahead 178.52 points, or 2.7%, to 6,894.23
In Singapore, the Straits Times index deleted 4.41 points, or 0.1%, to 5,656.11.
In Taiwan, the Taiex index popped 892.75 points, or 1.9%, to 47,180.75.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 backtracked 17.45 points, or 0.1%, to 13,739.14
In Australia, the ASX 200 moved lower 1.25 points, or 0.01%. to 8,731.17.
