In Japan, the Nikkei 225 docked 96.59 points, or 0.2%, to 66,215.34.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng faltered 237.26 points, or 0.9%, to 25,328.73.

In Shanghai, the CSI index slipped 13.65 points, or 0.3%, to 4,611.44.
In Korea, the Kospi Index took on 15.78 points, or 0.2%, to 6,835.80
In Singapore, the Straits Times index let go of 44.99 points, or 0.8%, to 5,710.37.
In Taiwan, the Taiex index ballooned 820.25 points, or 1.8%, to 46,948.72
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 waned 130.4 points, or 0.9%, to 13,786.90
In Australia, the ASX 200 ditched 9.26 points, or 0.1%. to 9,066.70.
