Apple Unveils iPhone 16 That’s Powered By A.I. Technology

Apple (AAPL) has unveiled its highly anticipated new iPhone that contains artificial intelligence (A.I.) capabilities.

At its annual fall launch, Apple’s management team led by chief executive officer (CEO) Tim Cook debuted different versions of the iPhone 16, as well as a new Apple Watch and AirPods.

The new iPhone comes in two sizes: 6.1 inches for iPhone 16 and 6.7 inches for iPhone 16 Plus; a new A18 microchip that promises faster speeds; a 48-megapixel camera that has four times the resolution of the iPhone 14; and a starting price of $799 U.S.

The first A.I. features for iPhone 16 will launch in beta mode during October of this year, said Cook during his presentation of the new smartphone.

Most of the A.I. features are integrated with voice assistant “Siri.”

Cook said that users will be able to prompt Siri with text, ask questions with their voices, and pull-up specific details from text conversations.

Preorders for the new iPhone begin on Sept. 13 and the official launch date for the new device is Sept. 20.

The Apple Watch Series 10 launches on the same date and features an updated design, a polished titanium option, and a faster S10 microchip.

AirPods 4 and AirPods Max are being marketed by Apple as helping people with their hearing.

A new “hearing protection” mode in the AirPods can limit external noise, and the new devices also come with a hearing aid feature.

Apple said the new hearing aid feature on the AirPods should receive approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) soon.

Apple’s stock has risen 23% over the last 12 months and currently trades at $220.91 U.S. per share.
