There is Demand for the Apple (AAPL) Car

Written by Ophir Gottlieb

PREFACE

While the tech world and tech reviews have vacillating opinions, consumers want a car from Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL), more than anything else.

STORY

CML broke the news about Apple Inc's registration of domains http://www.apple.car and http://www.apple.auto. CML also broke the news of Project Titan -- which is now an open secret -- it's the division behind the Apple Inc Car.

We broke the news, which may have changed since, that Apple was in fact building an actual automobile and not just the brains behind one. But, we give credit to Patrick Seitz of IBD who broke the latest news: Consumers want an Apple Inc Car more than anything else when it comes to the "next thing."

Baird's Poll

IBD reported that investment bank Baird did an online poll that garnered 3,000 U.S. respondents asking what people would like to see Apple develop over the next five years.

The responses came in as follows:

* Apple Car (21.6%)
* Netflix like video streaming service (19.5%)
* Virtual reality headset (16%.1)
* Advanced healthcare wearable (16%)

THE GOOD NEWS

The good news for consumers is that Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) will likely be doing all of these. We do believe an Apple Car is coming. Apple Inc has openly discussed its video streaming service and we broke the news that Apple has contracted Hollywood executives to create original TV content. Even further, the company has already released the official trailer for its first original show.

With respect to virtual reality it's known quite widely that Tim Cook sees augmented reality (a mix between virtual reality and the real world) as one of the "next big things." CML broke the patent filing in our dossier Apple Files a Patent for Augmented Reality.

Finally, we broke open the healthcare tech run Apple Inc is already making in our dossier Apple is Getting Dead Serious About Health Care.

Apple Inc is likely pursuing all of these avenues as it has successfully diversified away from the iPhone --or, taken the steps to do so, at least. Apple Services is booming and is the conduit for the firm to become the first trillion dollar market cap as we detail with great specificity in our dossier Apple's Seismically Disruptive Shift to Recurring Revenue.

The poll results are exactly what we would expect from Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL). The top results are already in development, because Apple is ahead, not behind. The could be coming.

The author is long shares of Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) at the time of this writing.
