British Rockers Oasis Reunite For U.K. Tour

British rock band Oasis have reunited for what’s expected to be the biggest tour in the history of the United Kingdom, potentially surpassing Taylor Swift’s recent shows at Wembley Stadium.

Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher have set aside a 15-year feud and agreed to reunite Oasis for a string of dates in summer 2025 across the U.K.

Tickets are set to go on sale on Aug. 31 for concerts scheduled to take place in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin from July 4 to Aug. 17, 2025.

The band also teased that it is considering performing on “other continents” outside of Europe later next year.

The reunion comes 15 years after Oasis broke up in August 2009 shortly after touring Canada in support of their last studio album “Dig Out Your Soul.”

There is already speculation that the tour next summer could set attendance and sales record, potentially surpassing Taylor Swifts’ eight-night run at Wembley Stadium this summer, which is estimated to have injected £300 million (Cdn$534 million) into the City of London’s economy.

The Gallagher brothers already hold multiple records within the British music industry. The first Oasis album “Definitely Maybe” holds the record for fastest-selling debut album in U.K. history.

The band’s sophomore effort, “(What's the Story) Morning Glory?” is the third bestselling album in U.K. history after The Beatles “Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band” and Adele’s “21.”

In terms of concerts, Oasis two shows performed at Knebworth in Hertfordshire, U.K. back in 1996 attracted a record-breaking crowd of 250,000 people.

Oasis currently has nearly 22 million monthly listeners on Spotify, more than contemporaries such as U2 and Pearl Jam.

There is speculation that tickets to the U.K. concerts of Oasis will sell for well over £1,000 (Cdn$1,780.00) each on resale sites in coming weeks.
