Lightspeed’s Quarterly Loss Increases 173% To $114.5 Million

Lightspeed Commerce (LSPD) reported a fiscal fourth-quarter loss of $114.5 million U.S., up
173% from a loss of $42 million U.S. in the same period last year.

The point-of-sale technology company, which keeps reports earnings in U.S. dollars, said the
loss amounted to $0.77 U.S. per share for the quarter ended March 31 compared with a loss of
$0.34 U.S. a share a year earlier.

Revenue for the fourth quarter of its 2022 financial year totalled $146.6 million U.S., up from
$82.4 million U.S. a year ago.

In its outlook for its 2023 financial year, Lightspeed says it expects revenue of $740 million U.S.
to $760 million U.S. Revenue for the current first quarter of its 2023 financial year is expected to
be between $165 million U.S. and $170 million U.S.

Year to date, Lightspeed’s stock is down 43% to $28.65 a share.
