After Amazon (AMZN) posted quarterly results, shares erased the two-month technical breakdown.
AMZN stock gained 17% last week after it recorded second-quarter revenue growth of 20% Y/Y, to $200.6 billion. Amazon Web Services revenue grew by 36.7% Y/Y to $42.2 billion. Margins benefited from demand for multi-modal AI. AWS will not depend on just Anthropic or OpenAI for its ongoing strength.
Dexcom (DXCM), a medical devices provider, traded to a 52-week high after posting Q2 results. Moreover, markets reacted to the 2026 revenue forecast. Dexcom expects revenue of $5.18 billion to $5.25 billion. Investors might also consider Medtronic (MDT).
Corteva (CTVA) dropped by around 12%, erasing nearly two months of an uptrend. The company reported revenue of $6.38 billion, down by 2.4% Y/Y. Non-GAAP EPS was $2.30. Still, the firm increased its guidance for this year. Operating EBITDA will top up to $4.3 billion.
Cryptocurrency platform Coinbase Global (COIN) lost 10.59% on July 31, following its earnings report. In Q2, it lost $1.36 in EPS (GAAP). For Q3, subscription and services revenue of up to $580 billion disappointed investors. The crypto slump might hurt transaction volumes for the rest of this year. Still, crypto trading volume rose by 10.3%, compared to 8.6% in Q1.
Coinbase is relying on prediction market contracts for growth. Revenue was $100 million annualized in the last quarter.
