Iran Threatens Tech Giants Nvidia And Apple

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard has threatened attacks on U.S. technology companies with operations in the Middle East, including Nvidia (NVDA) and Apple (AAPL).
The Iranian military has warned that it considers 18 technology companies to be “legitimate targets” in the ongoing war with the U.S. and Israel.
Attacks on those companies, which also include Alphabet (GOOGL) and Microsoft (MSFT), could begin as early as today (April 1).
The government in Tehran has warned employees of those technology companies to leave their workplaces immediately.
Iran has already attacked the data centres of leading U.S. technology companies such as Amazon (AMZN) and Nvidia.
Strikes on Amazon data centers in the Middle East caused outages to a number of apps and digital services in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
But the Islamic Revolutionary Guard now appears to be escalating its threats.
U.S. technology firms have been building up their presence in the Middle East in recent years, specifically around artificial intelligence (A.I.) infrastructure due to cheap energy and land availability.
More than 3,000 Iranian civilians and military personnel have been killed during the war that began on Feb. 28. Thirteen U.S. military personnel have been killed in the conflict.
U.S. President Donald Trump plans to address the nation on the Iran war the night of April 1.
NVDA stock has declined 8% so far this year to trade at $174.44 U.S. per share.
