Alphabet To Hold Annual Developer Conference May 19-20

Google parent company Alphabet (GOOGL) has announced that it plans to host its annual developer conference, Google I/O, on May 19 and 20.
Alphabet’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sundar Pichai announced the dates of the conference on social media.
The conference will be held at the technology company’s headquarters in Mountain View, California, and will be available to stream on Alphabet’s website.
Analysts expect the company to announce updates to its Gemini artificial intelligence (A.I.) models and potentially reveal its first smart glasses model.
In December, Alphabet announced plans to launch its first A.I. glasses in 2026. Smart glasses have seen a surge in popularity with the success of Meta Platform’s (META) Ray-Ban models.
Meta has said that sales of its A.I. smart glasses more than tripled in 2025, with seven million units sold globally.
Last year, Alphabet announced a smart glasses partnership with Warby Parker (WRBY).
GOOGL stock has risen 64% over the past 12 months to trade at $302.02 U.S. per share.
