The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved a pill version of its blockbuster weight loss therapy, Wegovy. The FDA based its decisions on the OASIS 4 trial data. Subjects who took 25 mg daily lost 16.6% in weight on average.
NVIDIA (NVDA) might reverse its stock chart downtrend after shares peaked at $212.19. The U.S. approved sales of its H200 AI server chip to China. Sources reported that shipments will start in February 2026. This is before the Lunar New Year holiday, scheduled for mid-February.
NVIDIA will ship between 5,000 and 10,000 chips. This should result in analysts raising their revenue estimates and price targets for NVDA stock.
NVIDIA also plans to increase its capacity for chip production. Bringing new capacity online would raise the firm’s revenue forecast for its second quarter of 2026.
Database software firm Oracle (ORCL) recently rose on news that it would run the U.S. version of TikTok. This temporarily put aside worries about Oracle’s high debt, funds it used to invest in servers powering OpenAI.
Co-founder Larry Ellison said that he would personally guarantee $40.4 billion to help Paramount Skydance (PSKY) buy Warner Bros. Discovery. That might put pressure on ORCL stock, as worries resurface about managing its debt.
