CN Rail Boosts Fleet And Staffing Ahead Of Winter

Canadian National Railway (CNR) is bolstering its fleet and staffing levels to ensure consistent
service during the upcoming winter months.

CN Rail said it is taking the steps to boost its operations this winter after unpredictable weather
last year that included flooding in British Columbia negatively impacted its operations across
Canada.

As part of its 2022-23 Winter Plan, CN Rail will increase its locomotive fleet with the acquisition
of hundreds of new cars and hire more crew members and conductors.

CN Rail says its winter plans focus on careful planning for extreme cold that requires it to slow
its trains to operate them safely.

The Montreal-based company said it expects an increase in rail traffic volumes throughout
Canada this winter.

CN Rail’s stock is up 0.90% this year and trading at $156.29 per share.
