Watch Akamai, Fair Isaac, ServiceNow, and More

Last week, Anthropic released managed AI agents. That is a hosted service that runs on the users' behalf. The news sent Fastly (FAST) and Akamai (AKAM) sharply lower.
Fastly, an edge content delivery network, along with its competitor Cloudflare (NET), fell. Stock market traders view Claude AI agents as their direct competition.
Fair Isaac (FICO) closed at a new 52-week low. Valuations remain poor, with a P/E of 22x. The government might investigate the company’s pricing practices in the housing market for FICO scoring. Fair Isaac recently raised the price of the service. The government does not have a strong argument. It is claimed that the higher service fee contributed to the housing affordability problem.
Higher interest rates lifted mortgage rates. That is a major contributor to housing affordability.
In the tech sector, Coherent (COHR) is a winner. It, along with Lumentum (LITE) and Ciena (CIEN), is a top-returning stock this year. Coherent reported advancements for its silicon carbide capabilities. Devices now have 10 kilovolts, which next-generation AI data centers may use.
When the AI race is never-ending, Coherent’s materials innovation is a bullish catalyst. It widens its moat in the industry. AI server suppliers would need Coherent’s solution in their newest products.
