The stock markets will wrap up the week with big moves from MarketAxess Holdings (MKTX). Shares gained 7.46% yesterday after reporting a record $45.2 billion in total credit average daily volume (“ADV”). This is up by 8.6% M/M and by 52.5% Y/Y.

Tensions between Israel and Iran may worsen. This could disrupt Iran’s oil exports, should the U.S. impose sanctions against the country.

Marathon Petroleum (MPC) jumped by 5.72% for the same reasons. Long-suffering energy investors may not want to add to the position until WTI crude prices rise for at least seven days in a row.

Bio-Techne (TECH) lost 4.43% yesterday on no news. The stock failed to break out above $80 in the last few months. The firm manufactures high-quality reagents.

In China, watch out for the stock rally to lose momentum. PDD Holdings (PDD), for example, erased its post-earnings losses by closing at $152.62. In August, the company expectedly warned investors that its growth was not sustainable. Despite posting strong growth and no signs of weakness, the forecast was unusual.
