Crypto Exchange Binance Opens Regional Hub In Georgia

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance continues to expand, opening a new blockchain hub in the country of Georgia.

Binance said it is opening its new Georgia hub as it tries to promote further adoption of cryptocurrencies.

Referring to the hub as a “Web3 outpost,” Binance said it intends to attract tech workers to Georgia, promote industry education, and create jobs in the country.

Binance’s Georgia division currently employs 25 people. The crypto firm said it expects to create “dozens more jobs” by the end of this year.

Earlier this year, Binance lunched a partnership with the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency, as well as a charity initiative to support women’s education.

A former member of the Soviet Union, Georgia has emerged as one of the world’s most crypto-friendly countries, with the Georgian government saying it wants to make the country a global cryptocurrency hub.

Binance is the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world with about 30 million users worldwide.
